Bucaneer Pubs
"The Managing Director of Bucaneer pubs told us that they are impartial what sport their clients partake in. The Green Dragon near Cheltenham has not had any “hunt meets” for a number of years although he is aware that the hunt have been in the car park and he doesn’t see this as hosting, rather clearing up after a lot of horses that have made a mess. Neither he or the staff go hunting and there are currently no hunt meets that he knows of at any of the Bucaneer pubs in the future."
Half Moon Pub, Clayhidon
"No Hunt meets take place at the Half Moon Inn Clayhidon EX15 3TJ.
They have taken place in the past, but not since around 2010."
Kings Arms, Tregony
"We no longer support or host such events."
Kings Head, Ruan
"Thank you for your email regarding Hunt meets . Whilst I welcome your right to have a personal view on such matters, I hope that you will respect my right as well . As such I do and will support rural and local activities such as this, as if they abide by the 2004 act they are doing nothing illegal."
The Prince of Wales
"This pub was bought as a community pub in November 2022 and has been run by myself and my business partners ever since. I cannot comment on past events at the pub but I can tell you that since our tenancy in November 2022 there has not been a meeting of such at The Prince of Wales and we never intend there to be. We are a public house and so everyone is welcome to drink in our establishment but no planned meetings of such have organisations have taken place during our tenancy. We are aware we have customers that sit on both sides of the fence when it comes to hunting. We would not willingly offend anyone by having such organisations using our establishment as a meeting place."
Red Lion, Lacock
"We don't support, host or facilitate any hunt activities at The Red Lion.
I have only been here little over 2 years and this year will be my 3rd Boxing Day in Lacock.
On my first Boxing Day here we kept the pub shut untill after 1pm when the hunt had left the village.
Last year there was no Hunt activity in or around Lacock and to my knowledge there is none this year."
The Kings Arms, Elham
"The Kings Arms has been open and under our ownership for 13 months. In our time we have not organised or hosted a hunt and I would like to clarify that we do not organise, endorse, or profit from illegal activity of any kind. I’m sure you’re aware that the East Kent Hunt traditionally meets on Boxing Day in the village square of Elham. The land on which they meet is owned by highways and Kent County Council, not the land of the Kings Arms or the land of the other two pubs in the village."
