In 2023 Greene King banned the Quantock Staghounds from meeting at The Anchor Inn in Exebridge, but in September this year, a member of our staff took this photo of them using the pub as a base once more and sent it to us.

We wrote to Greene King, which replied:

“I have spoken to the independent operator of The Anchor again today as a matter of urgency. In doing so, I have reinforced the position of Greene King that the independent operator should continue to cease the Quantock Staghounds from using The Anchor Inn as a base for their hunt.”

Mike O’Connor, Operations Director South West

We thank Greene King for its robust action and are calling on the brewery to confirm that a ban on all hunting with hounds is across all its establishments. It’s time for change, the majority of the public want a proper ban on hunting with hounds, and it’s time pubs and breweries withdraw their support.
